Jaelene came to J.H. Picard Catholic Elementary/Junior/Senior High School at the beginning of Junior High and is graduating with a strong bilingual education. Jaelene contributed to the school community through her involvement in Student Council, where she spearheaded a mental health initiative for students navigating the challenges of COVID. She was involved in the drama program and the school’s theatrical productions through her creative work in costume design. Away from school, Jaelene volunteers her time with her church as a pianist, vocalist, and mentor for younger musicians. Jaelene’s exceptional academic success secured her acceptance to the University of Alberta next year, where she will study in the collaborative Bachelor of Science in Nursing program.
