I suggest the councillors who are all for homeless camps have them set up in their backyards or maybe their neighbourhoods, because we know that saying, out of sight out of mind. We shouldn’t have to be afraid for our kids or grandkids to walk around, worrying about what’s going on in these camps. I suggest they take pictures of Vancouver, L.A., San Francisco and let folks know what happens when you just let these things go on. As for not checking on them because it’s insulting, those advocates would be the first to cry out if something happens to someone in these camps, if drug use and violence goes unchecked.
